Hi I've just recently bought the 2004 Tamora how car and I'm trying to get some pictures of it on the TVR show stand at London if you have any or know of a site that has them please send them to me at getsis@yahoo.com. I have also been told that this car appeared in an EVO magazine in 2004 but not sure of which issue or if it actually was this car. Any info would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Kevin

The car was in a showdown with Merc SLK, Boxster, 350Z and a Z4, featured in EVO August 2004.

I had the loan of this Tamora from July 2004 to October 2004 whilst mine went back to the factory for some "minor" rectifications to paintwork.

I was sad to give it back as in the time I had it I put 4000 miles on it and the car behaved superbly, it is the only one i have seen with the modified seats that were going to be standard on all cars but never were.

The car had obviously been fettled by TVR themselves as even compared to my now run in Tamora it seemed faster and so smooth.

Hope to see it at Gaydon??.

Hi Shifty, Thanks for the info. You have confirmed the seats issue as I was told they are unique to the car. I have to agree that it did feel smother compared to other Tamora's I test drove. Great car for power slides :-)

Your new Tam was at Gorners, for a while last year, October/November time, the same time as i bought mine, the seats where going to be standard in the Sagaris, and i believe a one off, the car wasn`t standard according to Gorners, RR or 4ltr, they recon, not sure whether it has been rebuilt since it`s press days, but most press cars go back to the factory to be ..erm..retuned before being put on sale.
Re the EVO mag i`m sure i have two copies, if that is the case i will mail you and if you pay for postage i will send you a copy

Hi, I was told that after the show the car was bought by Gorners and they used it as a demo and a run around car. After Gorners shut down some of the stock they had needed to be shifted on quickly and Drivestyle in Harrogate took a few cars on including The Tamora. That's where I saw it for the first time. I struck a deal after some very hard haggling. The car was still registered to Gorners (1st owner) on the log book. I don't know if the engine has been rebuilt or tweeked.

If you have a spare copy of the EVO mag I will pay you for it. If you have Paypal I can send you the cash that way.

Oh and I can't make Gaydon :-( I would have loved to have gone but I'm working in Nigeria for the next 5 weeks!

I have some pictures of your car when it was in Gorners, will send them over to you. The car was in Gorners show room for a while, at least 12 months to my knowledge. I nearly bought it myself when Gorners were having thier sale, but went for a t350t instead. I beieve it has had something done to the engine and when i enquired, hadn't had a rebuild. I was also told that the car was driven up to Scotland and back to run it in before EVO mag got their hands on it. It's been in EVO twice i think, first time with 16" rims on it (can't remember what it was tested against) and the second with 18's fitted, tested against an MG SV.

Why don't you contact Mike Clarke, now at Ciciley in Preston, he will give you the low down on it.

I'll scan the photos in ans E-mail to you.

Thanks J, if you can send the pics it would be great .
I have the August 2004 issue of EVO. If it was in another issue I would be interest in obtaining this one as well.

When I'm back in the UK I will contact Mike and see if any mods have been done to the engine and suspension as I'm not sure if this is standard either.

Thanks again.
