Just wondering what the high mileage cars are out there? Lots of low mileage always for sale...?

Would like to know if the high mileage suffer more of less problems???

I had a Cerb 4.5 that I did 32000 miles in 18 months and had far less issues than most people at the time seemed to and none with the engine..

Thanks all!

My Tamora (2002) has done 17600 miles and went through its service last week with no reported problems with the engine or clutch. It also has oil pressure sender unit mark 2 fitted which does not leak anymore. The only thing that has gone wrong with it is that it needed a new power steering mechanism (Renault part) fitted when I first purchased the car.

My confidence in the reliability of the TVR is growing by the day, touching wood ---- repeatibly :-)

There was a chap at the Snetterton track day whose T350 had done 39,000 miles (without rebuilds). His clutch went on the day - not bad for a Speed Six clutch either.

Just wondering as it looks like I can get a mint 03 car for about £20K these days with about 10K miles and tvr used car warranty(which seems like a bargin, anyone know if the warranty is actually any real use?)and would like to use it everyday which would mean servicing etc I understand and I do about 12K miles a year so it would be under 25K miles in a years time, fingers crossed without an engine issue?

Oh and I've got a long drive to work (30/40 odd miles each way) so at least the car will get properly warm all the time?

Sounds like a safe bargain-providing its been serviced properly and the driver respected the warming up procedure. King amazing value for money.

My T350 has done 26,500 miles without a rebuild and is running better now than when I bought the car at 19k miles.

That said, the clutch went at 25k miles and she has been back to the dealer regularly to keep her growling.

Shameless plug - Its for sale for the bargain price of £21,500...! www.pistonheads.com/sales/69948.htm no warranty though I am afraid....

Just had a new radiator fitted under warranty (TVR used car warranty). Not sure how much that saved me, but i would guess a fair amount!!

New alternator fitted under warranty for me (although I've only had the car 3 weeks so would have expected that anyway)

My Tam was first registered on 24th December 2002 (don't know why the guy couldn't wait a week to get a 2003 reg plate but there you go!)

Its now done over 28k miles - although the engine was fully rebuilt to 2006 engine spec a couple of months back... the dealer said this was the highest mileage Speed 6 engine they had seen that hadn't already had a rebuild...

Anyway, the warranty I had covered the head gasket and associated labour (roughly £1800). I paid £4900 for the rebuild on top of this. I thought it seemed silly to just replace the head gasket without changing all the dodgy components while the engine was out...

So does anyone know if there were any significant improvements/modifications made to the T350C after Septemeber 2003 that I should be aware of?

Thanks all!
