Right,

Over the months umpteen of you have expressed interest to varying degrees in having the slats cut out on the Sagaris. Well Ive finally got round to discussing it with some ppl and working up a requirement. The initial look see at the job - to do it properly - makes one thing clear, it aint going to be cheap. If you want it done for 3 figures...tough. Ive got the guys working up a full quote tonight and tomorrow or friday Ill have the exact figures. The workmanship will be top notch and a gaurantee will be provided...independant of TVR.

Who is still interested? This isnt a service/product yet, but essentialy a response to the interest by the market. If nobody is intersted anymore then nothing will happen, if ppl are though please put your hand up and things can get serious. Ted and I have already a prelim discussion about certain aspects of this, there is more to come...but that will take a little longer to organise, mostly because the stuff is still being photographed and catalogued. I only discussed this idea today cos Pits keeps prompting!

No response yet so I'll chip in.I'd upgrade to a Saggy if the vents were sorted.I'd be interested in the cost when you get enough people to make it work

Well, you already know what I think....

For me it will complete the car and (I hope!) if done well would increase the value to a suitably discerning buyer.

Well in theory anyway. The idea that I might actually sell the coolest car on the planet now I've got my hands on one is entirely hypothetical!

No problem.

Pits has also mentioned about wanting extra carbon bits done for his car. Anybody else interested in that?
There is a complication there though atm, carbon is f**k hard to get hold of and bloody expensive and the Chinese, Indians and Japs are playing corner the market.

was the orginal reason they were filled in because of stones chipping the windscreens?

Watching with interest, although I have to say I'm happy with ours as she is.......

After its reception in France at the weekend you would think it was made of gold and capable of driving on water!

Sideways, I was toying with the idea of a carbon bonnet, front splitters and rear venturi. I got a quote on a carbon bonnet and it was under £1k from memory bit I'm sure it would find a way of creeping up in price as the job went on. Ideally I'd like a one-piece carbon bonnet strapped down with race clips. The other bits were an afterthought. I thought about the splitter after I scratched mine in the nurburgring car park - doh!

DJC's been very helpful in making some enquiries as it would seem he's well connected regarding TVR. Must be because he's a local blackpool boy I guess?

But the focus for me is the bonnet vents. I really do love the car as it is but the car that made me buy mine (the iced tit 'autotrader' prototype) had open vents and I think it would take the car into the realms of the uber desirable.

YP I did try and warn you about the continentals! I've never seen a whole nation gobsmacked before!

For those of you who haven't taken your cars to the ring, do so this year. That applies to anyone with a tvr. Don't even think about it, just do it. You can (and will) thank me afterwards.

Any special reason why you say "this year"?

Right...

I have the quotes, lead times and specs for the bodywork and the De-cat exhaust systems.

From the above thread, the initial interest was Pits, Sportie, Sideways and RPA. Anybody who is now serious about wanting it mail me.
