Peeps,

How do people stop the side rubbers from being pulled out when
they put the roof panel in/out the boot, it is a little bit
fiddly isn't ? and it seems to catch on the carpet lining.

Gary - I have bought a roof panel cover from Leven (the one that fits the Chim)£50 I think. This eases the situation, but do find they still pop out sometimes. Have read on here the possibility of glueing and screwing the rubber (oohh err). By removing the screw that is underneath the rubber, making a small whole in the rubber, and tightening the screw through the rubber... so I think I might be trying that next.

Ian.

Does that cover help the in and out ! motion (eeeazy) as it is a bit
tricky sometimes....those rubbers have a kind of plastic cap on the
end dont they that should slot into the ridge to hold the rubber
in place..

Yep - much easier to get in and out of the boot. And if you place a black bin liner in the floor of the boot at each end, even easier still.

I bought the leven bag and found that the rubber was popping out of both sides when removing the panel from the bag. With no bag only one side pops out. So during the winter I use the bag as I don't have the roof off that much and in the summer I leave the bag in the house as the roof is always off.

Thanks for your thoughts, found that a large think carrier bag which
is cut down 1 side makes a nice sleave... this is the 1st corner i
put in, (left) then a bin liner on the other side for a slide affect.

If people try to glue the rubbers! which glue do they use....
