Hey folks!!

Been reading through the forum and im seriously thinking about buying a Tamora.

Ive got an 05 plate civic type-r at the moment. Not got any reliability worries plus have full warranty.

Probably looking to get an 02 plate Tam with between 8000 and 18000 miles.

Im just a bit concerned that the Tam would spent a lot of time off the road due to problems.

If i bought the car what sort of things would i be looking to have to do in the near future to keep it healthy and on the road?

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Stu

If your going to get a 2002 tam make sure its had the engine mods. Dont get one with 18k miles on. Plenty around for the same price with less than 10k on. BUT other than that just get one.

I think its fair to say the TVR will spend more time than the Honda at the dealers.

The thing with TVRs is there are usually lots of little things that need fiddling with and tweaking. Its rare to have a major problem resulting in a long time without the car. However, whatever the mileage I suggest getting a good warranty.

A5 Car Sales have got a cracking Tamora. Had a big re-build less than 12 months ago (loads of documentation for that and eveything else it's had done). Definitely worth a look if you like the colour combo.

my 2 cents would be if possible, invest a bit more and buy a younger and as
little miles as poss. I bought a '04 plate with just over 4k and never looked
back...2 months, no issues and running like a dream.

If u drive !u will buy....

I've got an '02 plate Tamora and "touch wood" the only problem has been a loose screw on the rear number plate - and I'm not joking!
As the advert says ..... "Just do it"!
