Hi Guys,

My dirver's door won't open from the outside. It works from inside perfectly.

Has anyone seen this behaviour ?? Any suggestions ??

Any help appreciated

Bigman.

Sounds like its the window drop ecu or the fact the window is sticking against the seals - TADT or at least a lot seem to. You can spray the seals with silicon but in my case the ecu was wired wrong which didn't give a long enough pulse to the window drop mechanism when you depressed the wing mirror button.

Thanks for the advice - I went part of the way. I found the door ecu (just next to the throttle pedal) and disconnected it.

So far (about 20 attempts), it's worked perfectly.

If it happens again, I'll try sealing it.

Thanks again.

My passengers door does this sometimes. It's the window sticking to the rubber door seal. If i lubricate the seal it cures it.

mine does this also, thought it was maybe catching on the inner sill of
the door jam..

I've had this problem too.
Sometimes it would open but most of the time it didn't.
Problem was traced to a pin in one of the connectors being pushed back and therefore not making connection.

What I cannot understand is why they don't make the duration twice as long.
It'd allow you to adjust the windows to reduce wind noise when fully up and prevent the 'sticky window' symptom.

Perhaps an opportunity for an aftermarket mod?
