Hi just got T350 2 weeks ago (picture on profile). Got it from HHC who are great, Tony is a credit to TVR dealers !! Used to have Lotus Elise S then went to a Boxster S (boring), this bad boy is amazing !!

It is however with them from tonight until next monday (hence why i am on piston heads tonight and not having fun in the car). Few issues include - front end respray (a few stone chips), new oil sensor, speedo stopped working, 5th gear slightly out of sync and Error 4 EFI sorted. All getting sorted hopefully when i get back from Spain on Monday. From looking at Forums these all seem fairly standard issues ?? Anyone else had these problems on a regular occurance ?? I know i will have problems from time to time but if im off the road 4 weeks a year and 48 driving I DONT CARE !! .... I want it back now though !!

Anyway hope everyone else is ok ??

One other thing.. how much better is the sports exhaust to the factory fitted ?

Hi Alastair!
May i say that's a fine colour combination for a T350.
The sports exhaust gives it a real throaty rumble similar to a V8. By far the best £400 i've spent on the car!
If you fancy meeting up at some point to try it out just give us a shout!

Hi and wellcome.
Like the colour.
I'm a relatively new owner (3 months) and I've had few problems in 3500 miles of fabulous fun driving. I drive mine most days and am averaging about 22mpg.
I still haven't got the grin off my face yet.
I put a TVR power sports exhaust on 2 weeks ago and it sounds great but if I'm doing long trips I might take it off and put on the origional as it can be tiring... but then again

I you have a look on the north east forum, there's info about meets and stuff. The TVR car club have a meet at the wheatsheaf pub out by the airport every second sunday of the month (i think)!
There's different sports exhausts around. The most popular seems to be the TVR power super sports exhaust which you would have to order from tvr power.
Hope this helps alastair!

Chris.

P.s. Check your e-mail.

Hi John, that would be appreciated, as I didn't fancy taking the car all the way to TVR Power if it can be done easily at home. This is assuming that I go for the T350, which I am swaying towards at the moment. I had thought about getting the dealer to arrange fitting it, but it will save a few quid if its and easy enough job.

Someone had mentioned the JP Sports Exhaust as being one of the good ones!!! does anyone have any experience of these systems.

First remove the five 5mm hex head screws from the rear diffuser (one behind each rear wheel, one inside each outer 'hole' and one inside the middle 'hole'. It's easiest with a 5mm hex bit on a 15cm extension and a small socket wrench. Then remove the two bolts from the front of the diffuser under the car. It's a bit of a fiddle as you have to get a spanner onto the nut on top of the bracket then undo from the bottom - it's dead easy on a ramp but difficult though not impossible if the car is on the ground. Slide the diffuser off.
Undo the two exhaust clamps. Undo the four bolts holding on the rear rubber bushes and the old exhaust will pull off easily.
Fitting is the reverse of removal, the only difficult bit is replacing the front bolts if the car is on the ground. After fitting the TVR power exhaust there is much more space uner the car - you can see the rear brackets through the holes so you can see what you are trying to do.
It took me about an hour.

Good luck

John

I have experienced both the TVR power supersports on my Tam and i now have a T350t with a JP exhaust. I prefere the JP and it doesn't distort the same when hot like the TVR power supersports, mine used to grow when hot and catch the diffuser.

The JP also fills the gap across the back of the T350 nicely

It's a matter of taste though, suggest you try and hear and see them before you buy.

allyt- i saw that when i was down at HHC, very nice car. I settled on the black 03 tuscan in the end though- wanted the open top option, and always hankered after a tuscan. did you see a ruby red elise S2 when you were there??- I traded it in and looks like it's gone already.

allyt- the tuscan's great. running really well so far (touching a big piece of wood!), tony and the lads down there supplied it in as-new condition. did you see that tuscan in the showroom when you were down previously??

allyt,

Yes JP was easy to fit, takes about half hour if you have done one before, bit longer if not. Make sure you get hold of some of the new style hanging rubbers as well, the ones with the extra metal strap around the rubber. Stops them stretching over time and hence exhaust dropping and catching on diffuser, which is exagerated with large bore exhaust as there isn't as much space to play with in diffuser cut out.
