rattling bonnet
Discussion
t350 bonnet catch has been rattling a bit on start up from cold with the vibrations and now and again on bumpy roads but i have found a cure!!!!
i dismantled a fancy writing pen to remove the rubber grip and slid it over the pin ( in a condom style fashion ) so that when the pin drops into the catch there is no metal on metal contact, sorted!
Also the plastic stick on patches which motorcyclists use on there petrol tanks to stop the beer belly wearing away the paint can be cut and stuck under the clips on the targa panels to get a tighter fit!
tvr ownership rocks

That could be down to the last person who took your bonnet off not aliging it properly when re-attaching. Its a two man job but it may be worth taking the bonnet off and putting it back on again.
And TVR ownership more than rocks, it RULES.

Well, I'm on my third and funnily enough, I can't remember any explosions from the engine bay. Or on any of my mates TVRs either. Funny that.
Wow, touchy. In case you didn’t realise I TO… have a TVR, if I was that worried do you really think I would of bought one?
I wasn’t being a Jealous troll as so often found suturing up the owners on the BBS forum.
Was just a joke – hence the smiling faces.
Anyway…..

Hmmmm. I take it you haven't tried to sell it yet then? The more people propogate the spontaneously exploding engine rumour the worse your resale will be. Just because you're a TVR owner that doesn't make me any less wary of these kind of comments. If this was a closed forum for TVR owners only then it'd be okay. Its not, so be careful with the comments. You'll have some d1ckhead with a SEAT quoting you next...

Someone has defiantly taken the jam out of your donut today my friend. To be honest, I would expect nothing less than to be quoted such a comment from a SEAT driver - common things occur commonly that is and I have to say I would just reply with a knowing smile.
Let's just forget about it shall we. I won’t mention the engine going *** … I’m really not that bothered, I’m only on this forum to share a mutual interest nothing more, nothing less.
Thanks.
