Shiny exhaust...?
Discussion
OK, this may sound a trivial cosmetic question but here goes.
Been following the threads about JP and whatnot exhaust upgrades, and although there is a part of me that quite wants a noisier, bubblier box with popping when backing off....... the grown up part asks "Why?". No more power, don't NEED more noise and it'll just annoy the naighbours (some of them I quite like!).
So, I'm going to bide my time (damn - I'll probably come back from the 6k service in a couple of weeks time with one bolted on anyway!) and in the meantime, I'd like to try to get a shine on the pipes. My main gripe is that it looks naff.
I believe that they are stainless steel, so I would think that they should polish up but has anyone tried? If so, what's the best way? Successive grades of we'n'dry, then ditto wire wool followed by Autoglym metal polish?
