noticed that over the last few days in my T350 the water sensor, warning -16 or something, has flashed up twice, checked and topped it up yesterday and it happened again today, after about an hours use since topping up and it needed over a litre of water, it just seems to be disapearing, topped it up and after 5 mins went back and it had settled down again a wee bit, it doesn't seem to be leaking from anywhere, the water temp seems to go upto between 97-104 c when the oil temp is only upto 60 c. any idea's guys?

cheers

graham

The water level will usually settle itself out about level with the pipe coming out of the side of the tank. This seems to be pretty normal and you'll notice if you fill it right to the brim it will evaporate some off until it gets to this level. If it starts to drop below this level, then it's probably best to get it checked out, e.g pressure test.
The water levels you describe do sound a wee bit high though. Could just be that the water sensor's buggered as i think this is reasonably common.

P.s. I spotted you on saturday. See the spotted section!

I had a dodgy water sensor and also a oil pressure sensor. Both tended to dick around randomly. HHC in Newcastle sorted it for me at the last service.
