I average 22-24 in mixed driving. 26-27 on a motorway run. TVRs only drink gogo juice when you give them some welly through the revs. Crusiing in top on the motorway they're a lentil munchers delight (OK, not quite).
On a side note, I was in Utah on Monday - normal unleaded was $2.60 per US Gallon (3.7 litres). Now in California its $3.60. Massive difference in petrol prices. At least the UK is consistently expensive due to taxation (hang on, thats a bad thing

)Very interesting. I lived there for 6 yrs, and back in 2000 or so, you could easily find a (US) gallon around the $1.50 mark - and below - in certain southern states. CA has always been significantly more expensive - partially because the refining requirements/emissions controls are more stringent in that state.
