Anyway, isn't depreciation the difference between purchase and sale price?
As he hasn't sold it, it's difficult to work out the depreciation.
It's like the 21k Rosso Pearl Griff in the classfieds which has been advertised for >8 months now, slowly reducing in price (think it's 17k odd now).

Exactly! What a pointless thread. Not for the first time this week there seems to be confusion between the asking price and eventual selling price. The two are not the same! It's called the bid offer spread!
