….For getting home from taking my son back a full 25 minutes earlier than I usually do! She thinks I was going too fast!
It had nothing to do with the fact that the Tam has been soooo on song the past week or so, and definitely nothing to do with the 140 (kph) with top down showing a Merc he can’t bully everyone off the roads ()
It also had nothing to do with the fact that the handling is just perfect, with a new record of 45 mph around my fave almost 90 Deg bend (Absolutely no other cars about with plenty of vision), with just a hint of tyre squeal, gripping like I honestly didn’t think it could!
1st, 2nd and 3rd were my best buds today, and the engine is still phenomenally strong and sounds just fantastic – in fact, after 21K miles, it felt just run in today!
Once used to these cars, there is absolutely nothing that comes close to the exhilarating experience, a combination of a wall of oh so sweet sound, ending in a high pitched rasp, so the power as you accelerate, foot to the floor in 2nd, then 3rd!
Today, any doubts about my car and whether to keep it long term were atomised!
Nothing else would do!

…….And I get told off for using the car as it should be used………. Woman!

Could it be the same Merc that was tailgateing me over the weekend . Must be something in the Merc handbook. Mind you later on I showed it what true performance is all about. Funny enough he never troubled me after that.
