Hi guys,

Over the past few days the water temperature on my T350C has been somewhat eratic, jumping about between mid 90s and 110. A couple of times I saw water sensor fault 16 flash up briefly.
Does this sound like an actual sensor fault ? could it be something else like air in the system ?
It's not let out steam yet but in this weather I'm worried it might.
The fans are running - I can hear them spin down when I turn the engine off - but I don't know if they're cutting in and out or not (sports exhaust means I can't hear them !)

I too have a faulty sensor, well, the sensor is fine, it's probably the earth (had the sensor changed, but still code 16)
I have been told that there are 2 water temp sensors fitted, the important one is the one that talks to the fans, if that goes, I guess it's HGF rapido. However, the one that seems to cause the most worry is the sensor that displays the temp on the LSD screen (or is that LCD?!) - this sensor has nothing at all to do with keeping the temp down, it's just for display only!
If you can hear your fans come on, do not worry too much, as the 'proper' sensor's doing it's job. Just get it checked the next time you need to visit your dealer, just to be on the safe side.
