Furball trip - how the car went

Got back from the furball late last saturday night.
Having covered 2800 miles in 8 days I got to say the car was fantastic. Having driven on some of the best roads and across the alps the car behaved itself. I got the standard EFI fault at altitude and the fact it was below freezing one night in the alps with a cold engine cause me to have to resort to an old fashioned bump start whilst freewheeling down the hill!
Other things I learnt were that below 17 ltrs and hairpins = starvation.

Ferrari factory engineers love TVR's
If you love tunnels drive from monaco to bologna, 103 tunnels later, your ears will recover one day!
Italian petrol is poor quality (note to Chris....)
Tomtom 910 navigation system is the dogs bits
If you carry a spare tank of fuel remember to be careful at altitude.
If you are driving in france, get a liber-t automatic peage device to have a 30 minutes headstart at almost every peage paypoint!

My Eurohoon touring in a Tamora gave me much the same experiences - wonderful driving, and the car was more than capable of keeping up on every road except autobahns where heavy hitters like Porches etc can get away. There is no 98ron in Italy - it's all straight unleaded, but I didn't notice much drop of in performance, although the engine was a bit rough.
Good to know the Ferrari engineers like them - you can add Pagani to that list as well!

Cracking bunch of people. It was hard to keep the group together but had a ball. Next years sounds fantastic.

Its very important to attach it by the rearview mirror with its little plastic clip and to remove it when not in the car.
Its battery's last 2 years if you dont use a bluetooth device near it.

Shit sorry to hear this. The jams were unreal, saw amazing outside temperatures but the car was rock solid. Having the peage device was a god send in france mind!
