Anyone got a photo of their engine bay with the extra expansion tank added, please?

I'm thinking about getting one and fitting it as a last resort before going down the pressure testing (etc) route. My Tamora's using a cupful of water every journey, and though the fans are working fine, temps seem to be getting higher (up to 115 and constant warnings in Sheffield, of all places).

Cheers.

yes it often pays to check the jubilee clips!

I will post a picture when I get home next week, unless someone can beat me to it.

Thanks for the tips. I'll check it out over the weekend.

Still quite like the idea of the expansion tank mod, so if you have got a pic I'd be interested to see it.

I'd also be grateful.
Mine stopped using water when I changed the filler cap!

Think I'll try the cap too.

Anyone know what other car the cap fits, so I can get one quickly from the motor factors rather than mail order from a dealer?

I think its an Audi part. Should have a ref number on the cap.

Yes, its a VAG part - take it off and take it into a VW service dept.

Look at any car built from late 2004 and its the same. Basically the central tank is swapped for a more 'sealed' one and a new slightly shorter tank is bolted to the offside inner wing just infront of where the oil pressure sender is.
