I'm new to the TVR scene but am sooooo pleased to say that in the first time in my life i can begin to seriously start thinking about buying one. Unfortunately I made the mistake in November of buying a Z4. Not a bad looking car and drives very well but, after previously owning a Westfield, it just doesn't have the spark or pizzazz that I want from a car.

So... some advice please; Tuscan or 350? They both look like wonderful cars and am sure they drive equally as well. It may be down to personal choice but it would be appreciated if you "experts in the field" could let me have your views on drivability, problems, comfort etc... Cheers.

Are you looking at a new or newish car or an earlier model (esp. Tuscan)?

95% of this will be your personal taste, the other 5% being common sense that the T350 is better LOL!

P.S. Ignore all the people with white stick who will now pipe up that you should try a Tamora. actually you should, they're great cars and quite rare

Make sure you get aircon in whatever you choose (another topic which will cause those without aircon to comment that its not worth it - personally in 35 deg heat or a wet humid day I think its compulsory).

Seeing as this is the T350 forum, then I think you should go for the T350.

Thanks Mad Badger although sometimes people have had both and regretted changing or loved changing. I guess I need to hear off people who've had both.

I know people with both and someone who has had a Tuscan and now a T350T.

They are both great cars and individuals will point out particular things they like about both. Personally there were a few reasons why I didn't get a Tuscan, but it's like choosing if you want Sirloin or Fillet.

Good luck making your mind up.

I think that's my cue - thank you madbadger. Had a 2001 Tuscan for 50,000 miles and now my 2004 T350T for 44,000. Both used as a daily drive, all year round, motorway munching and back road blasting and the occasional trackday. Not sure I can help your decision though because I love them both. The T350T feels a little less intimidating on the road so I could hustle it a little quicker cross country but on the straights on the tracks I could reach slightly higher speeds in the Tuscan.
More storage space in the Tuscan.
More wind in the hair in the Tuscan.
Easier to remove and refit securely the roof panel in the Tuscan.
Less bottoming out on the bumpy stuff in the Tuscan.
Easier to control the back end of the T350T (if it gets a bit slippery).
Easier parking in the T350T.

But that's all dull practical stuff. Have a drive in both and see if one 'fits ' you better. They're both brilliant.
I'm sure I (and loads of other people) can witter on for hours about one TVR versus another, though the thread could easily become both repetitive and self defeating. I'm sure most Tuscan owners will say they are best, and most T350 owners will say the T350 is best. I'd guess a good T350 is better than a bad Tuscan and a good Tuscan is better than a bad T350.
I too am about to struggle with a similar decision. The T350 will leave me at about 50,000 miles and right now I think I'd prefer another one instead of a Tuscan.

Thanks for your replies. I think the T350 will win the day but i do want to take a Tuscan out before money changes hands. With hindsite though I wish my topic was "which TVR shall I buy" as the Cerbera and Tamora are wonderful looking cars as well.

Looking forward to being on here daily helping me out with my TVR joys and problems soon.

TAMORA!!!!! You know it makes sense.
You don't have to worry about aircon, if you're too hot you can just take the hat off and then you don't just just get a sunburnt right arm, you also get a pink head and a pink left arm. What more does a man need
