Without care and attention to oil levels, the cam lobes wear away the case hardening, eventually the end of the finger follower drops off into the oil pump, and kiss your engine goodbye!

So if you keep your engine oil level up theres no danger in wearing the cam lobes?
Cam lobes wear on all cars so the answer to your question is - No.
However, oil kept at the levels it should be and changed regularly (in between services if you feel your car is used hard enough to justify) will result in an service life for the cam and followers.
