had my clutch replaced
Discussion
Well I had my cluth replaced. Its been playing up occasionally and as the car was in for a service it made sense. I can not believe how nice the new ones are. They are incredibly light and the clutch feels better.
For the record the old one had done 15.5k, no track days, but a couple of long runs (2x3000 mile trips).
But I expected to have to replace it and had budgeted accordingly, before everyone goes all doom and gloom.
cheers

just normal stuff, nothing too hard, rarely driven on the motorway. But it always felt very stiff. The new one is a dream. Its light and easy to engage gear and feels totally different. Its really changed the feel of shifting gears!
I do about the same trips as you Simon and my Tam has just passed the 20,000 stage. The clutch does feel stiff but appears to be OK for now. I have put some money aside for a new clutch when needed. I might get it changed on the next service.
How much was yours fitted? i just got one done and it was £1300 fitted inc vat which was a slight sting.
Mine is v light now too....although it does feel like it needs bedding in slightly - i get some sort of "bobble" at the top end of the bite point which is actually quite annoying - do you have anything similar?
