Anyone got any ideas as to the best place to put a fire exstinguisher in a Tamorascratchchin.

I'd suggest either on the floor in front of the seats, below the driver or passenger's knees. Looks a bit Halfords amateur rally driver there though IMO. Maybe screw the mount to the rear bulkhead off to one side? Is there room behind the seats?

What size and type is best?

I appreciate there is a trade off between storage size, and it having a worthwhile 'dose'.

Where you can reach it in a hurry if required, so not the boot and not the rear bulkhead unless you have double jointed shoulders and long arms

Well I was faced with this issue on my furball5000 road trip. For me I put it behind the drivers seat and wrapped it in a microfibre to protect the seat (mine is painted) and it worked a treat.

Hi Simon.

Is yours powder or CO2? I'd guess a 2kg? if it fits behind the seat.

I bought one from Halfords the other day for £10 and it slid perfectly down the side of the seat, doesn't move when driving but easily removed god forbid it's ever needed. Also in the event of a fire it's in an accessible place and near the door for quick access. Job done.

I wish i'd had one the day i bought my T350 from the dealers. 1 mile down the road and flames were seen through the bonnet vent yikes
I nearly sh*t myself sideways. Luckily the bottle of ribena i had sorted it out.
It turned out one of the valeting scrotes had left a rag against the manifold. shoot
