T350T car cover? New owner
Discussion
I'm in the same boat. Considering the purchase of a T350 and more than likely keeping it on the drive - lot of dirt in the atmosphere near me, everything quickly gets a thin layer applied
. So have been searching for suitable covers - came across these on TVR power www.tvrpower.co.uk/store_misc.php

I'm still grinning like an idiot!
Not too worried about it leaking, I have underground parking where i live thankfully. Issue is the pipes running across the ceiling drip water etc and don't really trust them not bursting.
On a side note, i live in harrow, any other TVR owners nearby?
Also, how popular are the ace cafe meets with you guys?
I understand its on this friday, might pop down and say hi if theres people about!

Not sure how much the tvr power ones are but i'm in the same mate i keep my t350 outside on the drive. I bought a medium sized cover for £25 pounds and it fits like a glove.
It doesn't breath but it totally water tight even covers the alloys as well. Only thing is you have to air it every couple of days so moisture doesn't build up.
Not very suitable for some1 looking to store their car for long period but perfect in my situation as i regularly use my car.

Hi Nish. Haven't been back on here for some time as I sold my Sagaris a couple of months ago. I do, however still have a few things to remind me of her, a couple of spare cushions in buttercream, an accumate charger and also two covercraft covers. Both are for outdoor use, but I suspect can be used "indoors" ! Covercraft told me at the time that the cover will fit a 350 and a sagaris, I must say I was doubtful prior to purchase, but they fitted like a glove. They also come with a security wire and lock to prevent nicking. Get back to me if you want more info ( although I'm away this weekend ). Almost forgot, I also have the battery connection lead to be used in flat battery emergencies, and a brand new spare battery ! Good God, the memories are flooding back!
I've been using a Covercraft cover on my T350C for just over 1 year. OK I've had to make a few modications - extra tie downs front and rear as due to the shape of the T350, a strong wind will pull the cover up over the nose, but this apart it really is rather good and I have to say the grey colour makes the vehicle rather non-descript when covered up.

Question to all you cover owners and users.....
Have you had any issues with the covers causing swirl marks in your lovely paintwork? Do you have to wash it every time before you put back on the cover, or is it ok to cover the car when it's dirty?
I've just bought myself a T350T (hopefully picking it up Saturday)
, and will be keeping it outside, so am debating on whether to get a cover or not.... Just wondered what your experience has been.

Hi ropey. As doctor darren has said, the addition of a couple of ties front and rear really kept the cover tight even in a hurricane. There were no "swirl" marks on my saggy as far as I could see, and mole valley gave it the once over before buying. With regard to washing, unlike others on here, I tended to keep it spotless when she went to bed at night (!), but would imagine cover and dirt wouldn't mix too well. Whether I would leave the cover off or not, it depends where you live, or feel comfortable.
Not worried about leaving the car uncovered as i'm in a private secure mews courtyard. Until we moved a few weeks ago, i was parking in a secure underground car park - now it's still secure, just open to the elements!!
Just want to protect the paint work on my new car from bird crap and dust, etc. I'm in London, so it's amazing how quickly cars get dirty around here, even if you don't drive it.
But I'm also realistic - I use my car fairly regularly and can be lazy, so know that i won't clean my car after every time i use it. So don't want to spend money on a cover that i'll hardly ever use - if it's not a good idea to use a cover on an anything but perfectly clean car!
Any other views/thoughts??

Yes, I have got into the system of always washing the car after a long run before putting the cover back. It's a little bit of a pain, but it also means you get a nice shiny car every time the cover comes off. It also has the advanage of keeping the inside of the cover clean and reducing the chance of swirl marks. I get a couple of rub marks from a seam on the cover, especially when it's been windy, but they easily polish out.
The Covercraft cover is also washable, which I do every now and again to keep it clean. If your car is outside and not used daily I would definitely recommend it. As well as keeping all the crap off the car, it also keeps the sun and UV off the exterior and interior. The outside of my cover has already bleached thanks to the sun.

Out of interest doc_darren, which cover did you go for from Covercraft? Weathersheild, Noah or Evolution?
I got the weathershield cover from Covercraft. It's not exactly cheap in absolute terms, but relative to the cost of the car it's not really that bad. You can go direct to Covercraft, but I got mine through a main TVR dealer, took about two weeks.
