my dad is on about getting a sagaris for his 50th birthday next year(dont tell anyone)laughproblem is i like my tamora.its outrageous, real loud, and the brightest yellow you will probaly ever see.we like our softtops but i dont like him going over 100mph becuase the roof might fly off and my window pops out a little.we have never test drove a sagaris before but we would like to try one to see if we could live with one.has any one gone from a tamora to a sagaris,if you have please reply into this forum.cheers dan.

If you don't want him to buy one, whatever you do, don't let him drive one. A small improvement on the other T cars in every way, IMHO.
They're quicker, brake better, handle better and as it's newer will probably be better screwed together.

One day, oh yes...

My old man drives a Rover 75 - you should be delighted either way.

Ps. The Sagaris is sooooo much meaner...

I went from a Tamora to a Sagaris. The thought and experience of a convertible TVR still appeals and the two cars have a lot in common, not least the identical interior. I'm also one of those people that really like the way the Tamora looks but the Sagaris is a more exciting thing to see lurking in your garage. It's also superb to drive on smooth roads and is the better track day car of the two. I'd miss the convertible aspect more if the Tamora wasn't so quick. For a car as plain daft in a straight line as the Sagaris, methinks a full roll cage is a good thing. I think the Saggy is a little better across the board but (purely subjectively) it wipes the floor with just about every car on the road to look at, photograph, video, sketch, drool over... visually it's the pick of the TVR range for me.

In terms of value for money the Tamora is astounding. If a deep tan matters a lot I'd stick with the Tamora. If you fancy the odd track day, go Sagaris.

says it all....decision already made........

Thing is, every Tamora owner I've ever spoken to LOVES their TVR.........they are very special it seems.....

Thing is, the Sagaris is just soooo good. Ray spent Monday hurtling round Croft, used a tank and half of petrol, had the most amazing fun and the Sag never missed a beat, went like a train all day....and that was with me attempting to hurtle round Croft too..(not very well I have to admit )

So...you have a dilemma...but a nice one.

Have to agree with previous advice though...if you decide Tamora, don't let dad test drive a Sagaris whatever you do......

Glad you got back ok and the acer racer survived. I'm sure you're next track day will last a little longer.
