Bugger.
Just gone to get the tiv out of the garage to find the remote not working.
The red led on the dash was flashing- proving the plipper was transmitting- but the doors didn't unlock.
On closer inspection the door button lights on the dash were flashing as well & i could hear what I think is a door solenoid (or similar) operating.
This could have been doing this since I got back from Croft Monday evening.
I suspect the battery is now nearly flat, but no way of getting in to open the bonnet or anything else.

Any ideas ???

Not covered by AA home start & towing it 1 mile away from home is a non starter 'cos I can't get in it...

Edited to say- when I use the optimate charger I plug in the ciggie lighter socket, so I can't even do that.

Flat battery causes this; you need to get to the battery (nearside wheel off, remove panel behind wheel) disconnect the leads & charge it up for 48hrs I'm afraid.

Then find out why it was low - if display shows less than around 12.6 volts when on a steady run, alternator may not be charging.

Thanks all for the replies.
Richard. I didn't get your mail- just checked & there was an error on my profile.irked

I'd parked in the garage so close to the left hand wall that there was no way I could have got the wheel off to get to the battery compartment. I might just have squeezed in to get to the connector if I had the proper socket jump leads to fit. I nearly bought some of these last week (premonition?) but if I had then they would probably have been in the boot where I couldn't get to them

Anyway, managed to get in (easy) at lunchtime (BIG thanks to Craig at HHC Drivestyle) got the doors open & checked the door button, window buttons, boot light/ catch- non sticking all seemed ok. Door ecu removed & put back, ignition on & NOTHING- NADA- ZIP.
Except it was no longer triggering the relay & the door button lights weren't flashing.
Plugged the optimate in & went back to work.
Just checked again now (17:20) doors not working on buttons but ignition on & 10.2 volts (after 5-6 hours charging) That battery was well FLAT.
Hopefully after overnight charge she'll be ok in the morning & I can get out Sunday & join the Cumbrian region for a blatt around the lakes.
