Another newbie question....so please be gentle.

When I park up the T350 (especially after a 'spirited' run), there is a buzzing coming from the fuel tank, due to pressure. Usually I crack the filler cap slightly just to relieve the pressure (not too fast, otherwise you get a face full of Optimax smash), and the buzzing stops.

I would expect it to remain pressurised to some extent, but is this normal? Or is there some sort of breather pipe that might be blocked?

TADTS. Like all modern cars the fuelling system is 'closed loop'. They quieten down after 20-30 minutes (depending on heat/pressure). Sometimes I open mine slowly, let the pressure out, close it and come back a few minutes later and its buzzing again.

BTW, when I say TADTS I mean all TVR. I have no clue why TVR can't build the fuel system to work like a 'normal' car. You don't hear Porsches and Ferraris buzzing like this.

Phew! I was about to get very worried about this myself.

So is it advisable to open the filler cap a little to relieve the pressure?

Or will it be fine left sitting there buzzing?
