...and it performed amazingly!

Only had the car a few weeks and went to the tunnel run on saturday night.

Absolutely amazing, the car was perfect.

It sounded/looked gorgeous, performance was outstanding and absolutely no problems.

Seriously impressed with its handling and poise, you really can throw them about and corner at insane speeds once you get to know them.

5 hours of varying (read high) speeds, braking, stopping and starting.

Temps held perfectly well even when stuck in traffic and the car didn't miss a beat.

Do have an imprint of the gear knob on my palm though!

Yeah, I find due to the light weight they roll quite well once you get over the initial inertia. Bit of a sod trying to turn while pushing though unless you've got help

I find the only sllight problem on "spirited" driving is the seats.

I have the new Tuscan 2 seats in mine, they just dont seem to grip you properly. I find myself slipping around the seat!

I guess you missed my joke about pushing the car.

Anyway, yes the seats are a weak point. If you have 100% leather its worse than 50% alcantara too (I'm actually thinking of having my middle seats retrimmed in alcantara/suede). The older style seats like I have are better but not by much. Someone on this forum recently replaced his with proper bucket seats.

Never noticed a problem with my standard (early) seats.

Either I'm too fat or not trying hard enough.scratchchin

Sorry, it was Monday, still in the land of Nod!

Half alacantra seems a good idea though, either that or I better start eating some more pies
