But which model?
Discussion
Help please.
I have a company motorcycle for most daily use and a company Touareg parked up in the garage for the icy/snowy conditions.
My kids want me to sell the bike and become sensible but, at only a mere 52, I don't really feel to do so just yet.
I do about 30 miles total on my daily commute and thought about changing the Touareg for a TVR but I will need to use it in days when I don't use the bike. Mind you if I become addicted to the TVR, that might become a daily drive and bike might live in the garage.
I'm looking to spend up to about £25 - £30k and love the thought of a removable or opening roof, so please which model(s) should I be looking at?

£25-30k should get you a very good Tamora (completely topless) or T350T (a couple of holes in the roof), ie from a main dealer with decent warranty, or a Tuscan with the targa roof and removeable rear window. Don't think you'd find any convertible Tuscans yet in that price range.
I can certainly recommend the Tamora, as would plenty of other owners
- and the T350T owners should be along shortly to recommend their steed
Dave, If you are looking for Exciting transport, a TVR is a great choice.
I bought a T350C and enjoy every minute of it, and would recommend one highly. The T350C/T and Tamora are two seaters so kids will have to enjoy a run one at a time!
You will be able to find a nice TVR if you choose either mentioned above for your budget, look through forum for other threads on enquirys on purchsing a TVR this will give you a good idea what to look out for.
You seem to get some TVRs better than others so look closely into the history of the car. If you buy from dealer you will pay more but you will get a warranty, if your concerned about possible problems.
However you can buy private and pay a TVR dealer to do a 101 check (approx 3 hours labour) to then give you a 1 year warranty.
My car is great,I love driving it and it gets lots of attention, if your looking for something different and not boring well look into a T350 or a Tamora but be prepared for possible niggles. You will find the niggles out weighed by far by the amount of fun the car creates.
Good luck,

[quote=targarama]Daily drive = fine.
More than 1 kid as passenger = not possible.
Driving in snow = lots of fun with wide tyres and low weight.[quote]
I use my Chim (Yes I know i am in the Tam/T350 section) every day come hell or high water (and I have encountered both..!) and driving it in winter can be an experience.
You want a roof off car..?
OK that gives you (post wedge/S)
Chim (best of the bunch)
Griff (not the best of the bunch
)
Tamora (fantastic handling)
T350T (removable hard panels in the roof)
Chim/Griff - V8
Tam/T350 - S6
I will drop you a PM as well re some other stuff.
The choice is yours but get yourself out in a few and see what suits you.

I'm obviously biased but it has to be a T350
It's rained non-stop all day today and I've just driven mine on a 400 mile round trip.
Not a problem at all - great in all weathers.
I've got a bad weather car too (LR Discovery 3) and I never use it.
Using it every day though, the TVR warranty is definitely worth the money
