Yeah I know - I had a look at the car yesterday - it was an option apparently on the earlier cars and the owner specced it without one. It looks like a right PITA to retrofit, do you think the spoiler really makes a difference downforce wise?
It came as standard on the earlier cars.
Lots of bar talk on benefits. IMHO the car will look semi-naked witout it.

Yes, the gurney flap (in conjunction with the front splitters) does make a noticeable difference IMHO. But you only notice it at about 145+. At 160 you can feel the car being pushed onto the road – and you can also feel it pushing against all the extra drag as well! Passengers have mentioned that the car feels as if it becomes more stable as you pass through the 145-165 speed band.
Agree it doesn't look quite right without the rear spoiler, surely DM would fit one if you were haggling?
Doesn't look too tricky to fit as you can access the rear bodywork via the Tyreweld compartment. Having said that I would want a dealer to take the responsibility for drilling holes in bodywork.

Bar talk? Do you mind...I resemble that remark!
A little aside...our partners in Germany actually have a bar in their canteen! Man I soooo need a pint at various times of the day round here, s'bad enough I have to force myself to only go down for 2 mochas a day, if I knew they had pints down there, Id be spending all my day down in the canteen!
Yes the Gurney Flap works...and lower than 145mph...but it is not an especially great design. I would, however, recommend you do not have a Sagaris without a Flap on the back and that is not from a style pt of view either.
Hhhmm OK thanks, I was actually thinking it looked better without the Gurney flap and if it didn't really do much that it wouldn't be a big issue - it seems it does though! Apparently you have to take quite a lot of the innards out to fit it, it doesn't look like a simple job from what the dealer told me.

The dealer is talking sh1te. Ive just re-worked the damn thing and added a cpl of extra braces. Fitting it isnt a 2 minute job granted, but it isnt the ball ache he is pretending.

You are not alone

its my car up at DM. when the car arrived it was minus the rear spoiler but i was informed that it could be fitted by DM as a n o cost optionif i wanted but liked it without so kept it as was. don't know if they would pass on free spoiler to any buyer. only selling so that i can be a little sensible and put the money into a house. car was great fun, but all goog things must unfortunatly come to an end!

Shame you're selling Jasper. Thought a chap of your standing would be able to afford both
Your drivebys up St James Street always put a smile on my face
