Tamora battery
Discussion
Does anyone know what type of battery it is?
Think I may need to replace - car started ok on Sat morning, but after a 25 min drive and being stopped about 15 mins, would not re-start.
Managed to jump start, then drove for about 10 mins, during which voltage was fluctuating from low to high 12's, then parked a few hours, re-started no problem and showing 13.5V all way to Austec, where Paul checked fuse under airbox cover which was ok.
Took car out again yesterday, voltage ok again, car started ok. However, now just feeling a bit paranoid about the battery.
I've had car over 2 years with same battery, not sure if it's ever been changed, an '02 car.

bugger- where did my post go from this afternoon???
Bloody work I.T. police probably...
Alex, I had similar symptoms a few weeks ago with my 02 tam, replaced the battery (thought not bad for 4 years).
£70 from main dealer, just checked the invoice part no M0439 but that may just be their local part no??
Anyway, battery change is easy- 30mins start to finish.
Tip, squirt the battery clamp bolt with WD40 before you start, by the time you've got the wheel & access panel off It'll be free. Its a few inches along the chassis rail behind the access panel.
ps for info the large fuse you find shoved behind the panel is for the aircon. Another common one to go BTW.
