Am looking at '04 Tamoras, Offords, Ciceley and James Agger. James has best price with 16000 miles on it. Having read FAQ, do I still need to ensure throttle pots were replaced at 12k service, are oil sensors still a problem. Anything else I should look at. Odd question, but will my Leven cover for the Griff fit the Tamora, not bothered what it will look like! Think am making the right decision, but do luuuuuuuuvv my Griff, but time for a change before get too old to get in a TVR. Thanks for any advice.

I had no end of trouble with the oil pressure sender unit. I had it changed and oil pressure sender unit mk2 fitted, and problem has gone away. Don't know about the throttle pots though. Never knew these existed. Does'nt seem to be a problem on my Tam.

I would get a JP sports exhaust system fitted because the sound is mind/ear blowing.

You won't be disappointed with the Tam, it is a fab carthumbup

Never heard of that - you just have to get tappets adjusted at every 12k service.

Happy hunting, I think you'll find they're a great car!

I recall Chris Watton had some similar kind of problem but don't recall what it exactly was. Out of interest, where is Watton? I've not seen a post from him in months.

I was thinking the same thing. Emailed him yesterday.

Don't they have the interweb in Italy confused

Yeah, I didn't know he'd actually gone for the Italy thing though, and I'm sure we'd have known if the car was up for sale.

Back on to the original post - I think I bought your Chim from Gorners a couple of years ago Ian (great car BTW)? Swapped for a Tamora earlier this year and much as I loved the Chim, the Tam is mind blowing. I don't think you'll regret it if you do change - as long as you go for the sports exhaust - otherwise you might miss the V8 soundtrack .

Thanks Nick, glad you enjoyed the Chim. Have ordered the sports exhaust and thinking about upgrading the suspension as well.
