Hi

Sorry about posting again as I managed to post the last topic without putting a title in for the topic!! Anyway as you can see I am new on here and just starting to look into buying a TVR and I live very close to a TVR dealer.

The dealer has advised me not to buy private and to buy through them (obviously)!

However they do not have a car i would like and other dealers do. Should I expect to get the same service for servicing/ warranty work if I don't buy the car from them? Do TVR dealers work the same way as other car dealers? In other words it doesn't matter where you but the car from.

I have been given the impression from the dealer that warranty work is paid for by TVR at a much lower rate than standard servicing rates and therefore the priority for the dealer is with their own supplied cars or straight servicing work.

Thanks in Advance...

The TVR Warrantee (3 year) will be Ok with any dealer; older cars may come with the dealers own 6-12 month Warrantee that may only be honoured by them. You may get cheaper servicing from the seller as they may offer discounts etc on future services but that’s up to you and should not affect the level of service you get elsewhere.

IMHO you would be better looking at the cars for sale on PH that have been looked after by an enthusiast.
And no I don't have one for sale here. Cars from TVR dealerships have no more guarantees of being trouble free, warranty or no warranty. A car with known ownership on here might be cheaper and just as good a bet. You can always get a warranty if you feel the need afterwards.

Hi
I bought a brand new T350C from TMS, 3 months later they closed down.
Ive used TVR Power for any warranty issues and they've been excellent, so shouldnt be a problem.

BTW which car are you looking to buy what budget etc.?

I'm looking for a T350 05 or one of the last ones to be registered.
I would like it to be in Spectraflair with a contrasting interior. The one in the for sale section at cicley is typically what I am looking for, but they are a quite a distance from me hence this post.

Not sure I would buy brand new though and I am not in a rush so waiting for the right car.

Very exciting though, grinning already and I don't have a car yet...
