how many sagaris' have been built to date?
Discussion
Couldn't agree more Y18TVR.
I have an 05 Sag with 9,000 miles and previously owned a Tuscan. While the Tuscan was awesome the build quality and finish is infinitly better on the Sag. Most of the Speed 6 rough spots have been ironed out and mine has yet to go into TVR with anything more major than a broken seatbelt stalk.
You pay your money and take your choice! What can you get for £40,000 with the looks and performance of the Sag. Take a look at the Top Gear lap times and you will see that anything quicker is £150K+ with one small exception the Ariel Atom. I am not knocking the Atom because it does what it was designed to do perfectly, Track days and racing. Not practical for any road use other than the perfect british summer days which come few and far between.
I drive my Sag every single day of the year and have no worries about reliability. If you are worried buy a Boxster, Z4, Caymen etc. But be prepared to be dissapointed when i pull alongside and blow you away in both looks and performance.
Don't buy a TVR if you are worried about residule value, running costs etc. You have to remember that you have one of the fastest cars on the road which draws attention wherever it goes for very little money in comparison. Most of the cars above the Sag on the Top Gear laps lose more money than you can buy a Sag for when they leave the showroom.

Dealer I spoke to when I ordered my new Sagaris (delivered 5 weeks ago) believed values would hold up quite well should the factory close down. Maybe it's dealer talk but the thinking stacks-up.
Mine's been perfect so far, apart from a bit of misting in the rear light clusters when its wet. If that's as bad as it gets I'll continue to be the happiest motorist on the road. Driving out of London last night at 12.30 with the windows down listening to the howl, the pops, the bangs - magic!

Whats all the talk about the Factory closing down? The articles i read where that their current landlord was hiking up the prices to an unacceptable level and so they were moving to a new workshop and continuing as usual once the move was completed.
Does anyone know any different? If so what are the real facts.

Well there are 3 at least, including mine, here in Northampton at the last count.
Anybody asked the factory for the total number built - why wouldn't they tell us apart from the fact that IMO their PR has been shockingly bad since Mr Smolenski took over?
Having said that the Sag is the best car by miles I've owned - following 2 Chimaera's and 1 Tuscan. I'll miss the trips to the factory to see them being built too, sad but true - nothing lasts forever.

Ok so lets say 18 demo's. When were they released first? Lets say there was a rush on orders for the first few months. Then keep in mind the last year workers were saying only two cars being built a week and be optomistic and say 1 in 2 was a sagaris. So i will be the first to guess:
2006 - Approx 45
Anyone for guesses of the figures for 2005?
P.s just guesses so i could be totally wrong but better then no figures at all
