Looking to fit a sport exhaust to my T350 noted that people keep talking about two types, the TVR pasrtd one circa £375 and 'JP'.
Question is what or who is the JP ref and where do I find one.

TVR Power is a good solution, but even that can get a bit raucous on long journeys

The one Dom fitted to mine (A Power spec'd one) sounds like a Stealth Bomber attack between 2 and 3 K revs. After that it sounds like a Hawker-Siddeley Harrier hovering above you with it unleashing it's missiles at 7K.

Industrial ear plugs required for the faint hearted only.

I had a JP fitted through my local TVR dealer. They ordered and fitted it.

It sounds brilliant.

I bought the JP direct from JP and fitted it myself. Sounds great and easy enough to do. One bit of advice is to order new exhaust brackets with the metal ties around them.

John

Pity youre in north yorks, im near sheffield.
If your ever passing let me know and you can always have a listen to the JP fitted on my T350.
Definitely much better than standard but not too noisy when cruising on the motorway, which is exactly what i wanted.

Agree with allyt, go to JP direct (Macclesfield) and its a 30 -45 minute job to fit yourself.

I've got a super-sports(SS)one from Power and recently got to compare it to Allyt's JP one!
Having seen the JP on allys car, i think the JP looks better because it fills the exhaust holes better than the SS and also fills the space behind the skirting better!
As for sound, i think they're both loud enough, but the JP seems to be 'raspier' than the SS. The SS is deeper and rumblier, IMO!
I don't think you can go wrong with either!!

Anyone got a blue flame sports exhaust on a 350? Whats the point in a JP system if you MIGHT need to remove it for a trck day? Blue flame seems is a bit noiser than standard, but not full on racket for Mways. Any comparative experiences? Do either unleash (much) more bhp? What about insurance, have people declared the mods?

Blue flame looks crap IMHO the tail pipes go off at an angle, looks all wrong. And JP is fine on Motorway journeys in fact its quite civilised at about 70-80. You might need to remove any sports exhaust for a track day but not all do track days
None unleash any more power in fact the standard is the best
Wouldnt worry about insurance, TVR fitted all different parts anyway just depended on what was lying around at the time

I've got the TVR power sports exhausts (there are two with no centre box) on mine, which I fitted myself. It took about an hour but I would be quicker now!
I'm based in Harrogate and you're welcome to come and have a look (and listen) if you like. There was no insurance hike, I'm with A line.

Sound fantastic.

Few clips on this thread.

SS exhaust sounds like this but 100 times better. Unless your computer has surround sound and makes things shake.
