I looking to buy a new pressure cap and heard its a VW part is this correct ?

No, but its a pretty standard part from a Golf I believe. Same cap fitted my old Chimaera and I got a new one by taking the old one into the VW parts department.

It's an Audi part.

I got one from a VW dealer. I took a photograph of the cap (as I didn't want to remove it hot) and showed it to the service desk. He stuck it in a computer and ordered one for me. Arrived the next day and cost about £10.50.

I guess an Audi dealer may have it in stock.
