has anyone on here owned/driven both the above cars? i sold my cerb earlier on in the year, and have been missing it since! so in the new year i may be looking at getting another, or going for a t350 as i love the style etc.

couple of questions...whats are they like compared to the cerbera?

Is the engine reliability of the sp6 still a major concern on the t350 as it has been in the cerbs/tuscans?

I must get myself out in some for a test ride i think!

My budget will be £20k max....should i forget it at that budget ad wait/go for a nice cerbera instead?

Thanks!

I had a similar dilemma, in that, I wanted a TVR but not a drop top. The choice boiled down to Cerbera or T350. I tested a few Cerberas and they were great cars, but IMHO a bit too brutal for what I wanted. When I tested a T350 it genuinely felt like a car I could use relatively sedately around town, but had the grunt I could use when necessary. Ultimately, I bought an 05 reg T350 and have not regretted the decision. Your only problem may be getting a suitable T350 with your current budget. Then again, with the current "difficulties" being suffered by TVR and presumably some of the dealer network, if you are in the right place at the right time, you just might get a bargain.
Good luck!

Hi,
For 20K you are looking at the low end of the T350's and the top end for a Cerbera. IMHO you need to buy at least an 04 speed 6 engined car to be (well almost) reliable. Most of the "soft" engine parts were sorted by this time.
You will get a fantastic Cerb for that cash or a potentialy troublesome T350. I prefer the old style dash of proper gauges! at least they don't flash false warnings at you and make you panic when the oil pressure fault code bleeps at you

Increase your budget and get a T350 if not, get the Cerb.

I have a Dec '03 T350. Previosly I has an Aug '96 "Clatter Cam" Cerb 4.2.

Reliability issues aside, I have had none with either the Cerb or the T350.

The T350 is the better everyday car there is absolutely no doubt about that. It is easier to drive and all of the bits work. Even the screen demist works well which it never ever did on the Cerb although I think new Cerbs had a different system. The S6 is a very driveable engine it pulls cleanly from nothing. The T350 chassis is more nimble and in my experience more planted on bumpy roads.

However, if I could, I would have a Cerb as well. The AJP8 is just a fantastic engine. After 2 years of owning the Cerb it's ability to pick itself up and hurtle toward the horizon never failed to impress.

I am sure that the T350 is quicker point to point but off the line it does not give the buzz that the Cerb would give, IMHO of course.

Cheers Bob
