Hi all, wondering if somebody can help me

Noticed today when shutting the drivers door that the window is not dropping enough and it is catching as you shut the door. It is going down a bit, just not enough. I've done a quick search but can't find any relevant posts - yet I seem to recall that there is some way of 'resetting' the window (wind full down then up then down etc etc or something like that) - anybody able to help me??

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Jerry
PS unfortunately due to an accident (not in my T350!) I have not been able to drive the TVR for several weeks. got in to move it out of the garage just now, it fired up straight away and idled nicely - excellent :-)

Yes a dealer told me once, it's an easy one ... drop the window all the way, then set the alarm and the window will go right up before the car locks. This resets it's up position. If that doesn't work need to unplug the window ecu for 30 secs and reconnect.... but takes a while to find it in the footwell.

I'm 99% sure - so good luck! thumbup

I had this problem with mine and it was because the window was sticking to the rubber window seals. I easily cured the problem with a touch of silicone spray.

I find this happens on my Sag if I lock the car twice, e.g. unlock with the alarm button to get something out of the boot and then re-lock without opening the doors. And can also happen if you lock when the windows are already up. I put this down to the fact that, with the windows up, the locking process tries to push them completely home and this results in them being too high - hence when you open up they don't drop far enough.

What I do now is always shut the doors with both windows down and then let the car close the windows automatically when I lock it. Even if I go back to put a pay and display ticket in I still put the windows down a bit before re-locking. It's just a routine but it has solved the problem.
