There have been similar questions posed on this forum before but the links don't work anymore, so may I repeat my niggle.

As on many Tamora/T350's I’ve seen, my glove box lid doesn't fit flush and distracts from an otherwise very tidy interior. It sticks up on the left hand side as you look at it.

How has anyone solved the problem?

Many thanks.

Hi, I know this isn't the answer to your problem, but someone posted some pics relating to the same problem, It involved a piece of timber jammed in from the roof onto the lid,i think the question on the thread was "How do i keep my glove box lid shut" and that was his answer. Does anyone else remember this posting ? if so can you repost it please.
On a more serious note, it can be fixed using a little heat from a hot air paint stripper set on low, and held quite a distance away, so as not to melt anything, remove the lid from car to do this, and prepare a couple of pieces of timber to hold it into place back on the car after you have warmed the lid enough, allow to cool off, and with luck your lid will now fit, i have heard this works, so maybe give it a try.
Remember not to get it too hot!!! And i can't be held responsible for any damage you may cause (sorry but i had to put that bit in just in case).
Let me know how you get on.

Yes had this problem. The box lid was removed and the lid spring tension altered to allow it to shut more positively. The glove box lid was then changed at 6000 service to the mk2 version.Stronger lid less flex. Been perfect ever since and doesnt even pop up at over 140. This was done at the factory service centre by Heath.

Got this problem to. I use velcrove which appears to fasten better than the normal catch.

The later lids are made from fibreglass instead of plastic, think this sorted it.

Thank you for your responses. Not quite to sure about the wooden plank option, but if all else fails....

With regards the newer fibreglass lids, is it a simple case of ordering a new one though TVR Power or David Gerard?

K1ETH, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I'm away this weekend, so can't make it. I was with you yesterday at the Bulls Head, but again, didn't get a chance to have a chat. At the next met, will make a point of introducing myself.
