I am looking at purchasing a 2003 T350T and due to living only about 5 mins from Henley I've noticed they have a couple there at the moment.

Just wondering if anyone has purchased from them and if there is any benefit to buying through this method rather than privately. Loking through here and Autotrader I can realistically get one for between 19k-21k mileage condition etc but they are asking close to £28k!! I am sure they would be flexible on this but even so I'm unsure of the benfits.

If I was to buy privately can get an extended warranty at all and does anyone know how much this would cost etc.

Many thanks for any help!

That does seem steep. Will be selling my 54 reg T350C soon (see profile for pic), just under 10k on the clock (serviced at 8500 and just had valve guides replaced), AC and full warranty until end April 07 - need to get myself onto the property ladder.... anyway it will be around £26k. Let me know if you're interested

It depends how you look at this really. The targas always get a premium over the coupes as they were a couple of thousand pounds more to start with and I doubt you'll find any good targas for the money you mentioned.

Henley are not the cheapest, but their cars are very well checked over. The cars are near faultless.... they will respray the front even if it's only got a few stone chips. If I remember rightly, they spend something ridiculous like 6 or 7 hours just checking the engine. If you had any little problems with it you can just drop it back and they'll sort it, rather than having to book it in to another dealer.

Plus, it would have the warrenty... which you should push to include the wear and tear option.

I've test driven one of the T350Ts down there. Are you looking at the Chameleon Green one?

But.... then again, you could look for something like this -

www.pistonheads.com/sales/83230.htm

.... pay £200 or £300 to have the car fully checked over and then £1400 for the warrenty with wear and tear. That's still over £25,500 though.

I have looked at cars from Henley, but I bought from Castle TVR in the end (not sure that was such a good idea...long story). As Henley are my closest Dealer I have taken my car there for any work....All I can say is that they are great! Really good guys with a passion for the cars and their customers. I can totally recommend them from a technical/servicing perspective....Richard is a top fella!

Couldn't agree more.
They are really great guys at Henley and are always very helpful.

The cars are a little bit dearer but superbly prepared - they are very fussy about the cars that they'll sell.

I bought my T350 from there and haven't regretted it for a moment.

I heard that the targa/coupe premium for equivalent cars had reversed.

Doubt it. I tihnk the issue is that they're all really hard to sell and everyone who really wants to get out of theirs is dropping their pants on price.

Could it be the one Speed Buzz mentions in this thread?

if you are a serious buyer which of course you are, then negotiate very hard on price. There's quite a lot of choice about and very few buyers (time of year, uncertainty etc etc).

I bought my T350C from Henley a couple of years ago - absolute spot on service, definitely recommended.

Is Louise still there does anyone know?

Paul, can't comment on buying but my recent experience with them sorting out a couple of minor niggles on my new'ish Sagaris was superb. Really friendly, very knowledgeable, ex-TVR Blackpool factory workers within the team including a Speed-Six expert. I'm going to be using them going forward to do servicing etc. Highly recommend them.
