I work offshore and am away for 4 weeks. The Tam is garaged and has Accumate connected. My GF won't drive it after she kerbed the wheels, so is it OK to leave it for so long without being driven. Thanks a lot.

You really shouldn't leave either your Tamora or Girlfriend for so long without a good workout - can you not arrange for a fellow TVR owner to do the necessary duties?

Hi,
I work overseas for long periods and my Tamora is fine as long as I remember to use the trickle charger. Just to note that it's best to leave it in gear with the handbrake off. If leaving for months I suggest it's best to leave it on axle stands to prevent the tyres squaring.

When starting from leaving for a long time (6 Months) I disconnect the HT leads and turn the engine for a while to circulate the oil before firing up. I've not done this on the Tamora but I have on other cars.

Good point about the oiling issue. When left for more than a few days all the oil drains out of the S6 head so on first restart you risk running the cam & followers dry for a short time.

I also face this dilema, with a gf who refuses to drive it. I basically dont leave mine in gear or with the handbrake on, just chock the wheels and then come straight home and take it out. It am very very carefull and i keep the battery conditioned.

Just getting to the HT leads is a pain....much easier to disconnect the injectors - just a wasted spark then as oppose to six cylinders worth of unburnt fuel to knacker your catalysts!!!
