HELP PLEASE!! Advise on buying T350 - my 1st TVR

After spending many hours looking through forums on the pro's and con's of TVR ownership, I am going to take the plunge and buy a used T350 c / T.
Please could anyone advise me on what things to check for. What options are essential apart from a/c - I like the look of one car that is only part leather, is that advisable?
What the feeling on buying private? Dealer prices seem so high and although I appreciate you get a warranty, in experience there worthless.
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated, as soon as my 06 Audi A3 TDI DSG is sold (which should be soon) I'm keen to buy ASAP.

Go for it.
Personally I would say buy privately - you then know exactly where the car has come from and how it has been treated. You can find a known car through this site. Then stick the money you saved to one side for running costs.
Go for popular colours eg Black, Blue, Silver....... with a tasteful interior if you want to sell the car more easily in the future.
Buy as late a car as you can afford ie the 05 onward engines are meant to be the best.
Maybe get the car inspected by a TVR expert.
