Would you buy a T350 that was owned by TVR???????
Discussion
After some advice please.
I'm interested in a T350 out of the classifieds. Having made an enquiry about the history I found that the previous keeper was TVR themselves.
On one hand this may be a good thing as I would expect it will have been well serviced with all upgrades carried out. On the other hand I used to work for Alfa Romeo and I know from experience the sort of life manufacture's cars had (NEVER buy a 3.2 V6 GTA that was owned buy Alfa Romeo, they were ALL track cars for dealers and selected customers to thrash around Donnington and Oulton Park!!!)
I am also concerned that if driven by someone who's own cash was not tied up in it, did they follow the correct warm up procedure etc?
Of course I may be wrong, maybe TVR registered cars for another reason, so any info and advice would be very much appreciated. This is my 1st TVR and want to find a good one.
Thanks all

Depends on how much extra fettling the car has had. For example the factory may have overserviced the car and added some newer components. I would expect it to have been treated harder than a private example though. If this one flips your switch get the extended warranty.
Oh, also what is it like condition-wise? Lots of different people using it may mean the carpets, trim is a bit more worn than a cherished private example.

If anything mine was over-serviced as targarama says - it had 2 services in 16 months and 2500 miles. It's now on 10k and I've not had any major problems with it. It also has the extended warranty already so that isn't an issue. It's a 54 plate so it's not an original press car, and afaik it has the signs of being a later car as well (sun visors, clutch footrest and load cover)
I bought a T350t from the factory, the crystal topaz one from the 2005 official calander, April. It had 6k on it in 2.5 years, had 3 services in this time. It also has all the upgrades on it, and a full TVR no quibble 12month warranty, which i have tested and they have replaced anything and more that was needed. Great car haven't regretted it.

That's a fair comment TurboTomato, I guess the press cars were long gone before yours came along. Hopefully Audi going this weekend so might be in touch if there is some negotiation to be done

No worries - just trying to give as much info as possible about the car
And yep, the price is open to (sensible) offers

My car (04 plate) has sun visors and the load cover but no clutch footrest - does anybody know if the footrest became standard at some point? Is it possible to retrofit one?
Cheers

Not sure they were ever fitted. Certainly never got to 05 Tamoras or any of the Sags to my knowledge.
