Sagaris let me down yesterday in the Rain, But what was it??
Discussion
I had a problem with the Sagaris yesterday and in the end it went off on a AA recovery wagon to the dealer.
Anybody like to have a guess what was wrong?
The symptoms were
I left home in the pouring rain and after 10 miles lost all power. The engine revs dropped to 1000 and if I kept my foot to the floor the revs would then rise them immediately fall to rise again to fall again. A sort of kangaroo style drive down the road at 5mph. When stationary the car would tick over fine and rev freely as if nothing was wrong.
Got it to the dealers and we then worked out what was wrong and i was on my way home in 20mts.... Thanks to David Gerald
Drove home with a smile on my face and my tail between my legs, I felt a right idiot.
So any experts out there like to guess?
A clue is it was raining very hard with lots of standing water on the road. Importantly think outside the box...
I will be amassed if anybody knows what it was

Sorry, good answers but there was no water in the electrics, no ECU problem, no Umbrella, no foot slippage. nothing to do with the wipers.
OK, you must think OUTSIDE OF THE BOX and look closely at Deevlash's answer
as there is a big clue in his answer.
Remember it was raining with lots of standing water and it was not an electrical problem
