theres a guy who regularly contributes to this site called "gerbil"he used to be the paint/body shop manager at tvr, help me out once big time, even though he was mainly body work he may be able to help,as he holds nearly all the paint formulas as he invented/mixed them so to speak.

U need to be a bit cautious. I had my cam cover powder coated on a previous car......most foundry's will sand blast before applying the paint, which is fine as long as they are REALLY thorough when cleaning the cover after sand blasting. The sand can actually penetrate the surface of the metal (which is slightly porous), and if not cleaned thoroughly, can work it's way loose over time..........obviously not good!!!! Just go to somewhere reputable, that has experience in doing this

You want it bead blasting or powder blasting, it doesn't damage the surface as much as sand.
