Anyone know if the 4.0 ltr sag engine would go straight into a T350 ?

Eg is it the same Gearbox, clutch etc etc

I have got a T350C with a 4.0 Tuscan S engine and brakes fitted by the factory. I am pretty sure this is the same as the Sagaris. Hexham Horseless think its rather quick!

I'm pretty sure it will go straight in. I think it'll also go straight into a Tamora.

I am pretty sure it's a drop-in as externally the size and mounting points are identical-have fun.The 4L Saggy has more torque and you will notice the difference.

Might be worth speaking to a dealer or maybe TVR Power. I am due to have a new exhaust fitted to mine and the standard T350 size would not fit. Apparently all the intermediary piping is bigger on the 4.0 S engine so the exhaust is having to be specially made.

Just a thought - might mean replacing other components too.

Well the 4ltr S/Sagaris unit outputs to the large bore system which runs from the 2 1/2" pipes to the 2 1/4". The 3.6 runs from the 2 1/8" pipes. TVR sometimes "slid" owners of the Sagaris, i.e. gave them the small bore system, literally depending on what pipes they happened to have had to hand to get the car out of the show room. Trying to get hold of the correct piping now to make yourself a full large bore system is ...an arse to put it mildly.

Thanks for all your comments

I already have a factory fitted sports exhaust but presumably this would only be rear back boxes ??

DJC your comments suggest that the 3.6 system will actually fit the 4.0ltr ?? Or am I mis-understanding ??

I think Mr Freefall had a Saggy engine in his 350 before he sold it

There is only one speed six block so a sag engine will fit in a T350 as standard. With regards to the manifold and pipes they all fit as the engine without a problem.

Just make sure its mapped correctly. T350 is warmer than a Sagaris underbonnet.
