Finally got round to sorting the splitting plywood problem out this week,I have made the plates out of aluminium Chequer plate. When cutting them I forgot to turn the template over after marking out the first 2,(raised side needs to be away from the plywood or there's a gap for water)hence I had to cut 2 more.
It seemed a bit daft to throw the wrong 2 away so I ended up cutting 4,hence I now have an extra set and if anyone needs to do this job on their car they are quite welcome to them (free)but you pay the postage, unless your local to manchester and want to collect them.
Obviously the first to reply on here gets them
Heres a couple of pics in case you are wondering what I'm on about, the plywood was dried out, the plates were fitted loosely resin poured inand then the bolts tightened.it will look better when its painted over but it gives you the general idea.
