Anyone know fairly accurately the dates between which Tamoras were produced?

I'd guess at around Jan 2001 - Jan 2006.

Mine rolled off the line last April, 2006. Was told it was the last one off (don't wanna get into an arguement! This what the factory told me!) so April 2006 saw the production finish.

Unless someone knows better ;-)

I was told around 350 factory. I have tracked down over a 100 with the register of owners. I am trying to piece together the history for the register so watch this space.

cheers

Thanks for the replies.

Looks like I was fairly accurate with my initial guestimate.

Interesting to see an unregistered Tam in the classifieds.

Can't be many of those left on dealer's forecourts.

Anyone fancy an 07 or 57 plate Tam?

Mine's the first customer car and was delivered on 24/01/02 so it's got a '51' plate.

PH reported the first dealer-demos being delivered on 14/12/01 so also '51' plates

Hope this helps....

I know. It was also shown at the NEC Sports Car show the same month but that doesn't make it a production car for the same reason as the blue 2000 Motorshow car isn't.

Just believe me, I'm not lying!

Didn't think you were!

Timing of the Evo test car ties in with your reg date. thumbup

it was one that James Agger was selling - cherry red, Y-reg (not a private plate).

For God's sake! I waited 18 months for my Tamora constantly checking its status with TVR and I remember it well.

Check the PH archives - www.pistonheads.com/tvr/default.asp?p=76

?? not sure who that was aimed at or what you meant by it exactly. I was just stating that i remember seeing a Y-reg tamora for sale recently. if it's a press car, fine. I wasn't trying to state the date tamora's went into production cos i don't know that. just contributing to the discussion...beer

Seems we have cracked the question. thumbup

Motor show car in 2000.
Press cars on a Y (at least 3 we know of - red, green and Flyboys yellow one)
Dealer Demos 51 plate
First customer car was alt on a 51 in Jan 02
Then 02 plates from March 02 on.
350 - 400 made until 2006 with a straggler still to be registered.
