The 7.5Amp fuse for the brake & reversing lights keeps blowing on my Tamora. (I'll parry the "put a bigger fuse in" gag at this juncture!!) It's been suggested that low quality bulbs may be the culprit but "9 times out of 10" the reversing light switch is at fault. Does anyone have any other suggestions or advice?

Give your dealer a call - this is a relatively common fault with the Tuscan and Sagaris. The reverse and braking lights are on the same fuse, as such when the reverse switch mechanism from the gear shift is faulty, as will be the case, it will blow both sets.

Donot put a bigger fuse in. This will burn out the wiring, then the dash has to come out to replace!! Had same problem with my sag and replaced the switch. I got at it from the top after taking the boot roller blind, the centre console, gear stick knob, the hand brake lever, the mirror ECU, the splice relay and the alarm sensors, the glued down gear stick gaiter Phew!!!!!!!!!! Then a 24 and 22mm spanner to undo. Getting the replacement in is a bit fidly too. The Ford switches did not last but Dom at Power has got some Italian ones that seem fine. Have photos of it during strip down if needed. If you are not too bothered about the reverse lights you can just about flick the connetor off the switch from underneath. I took me 6 hours first time so good luck

Thanks for that guys - sounds like a nightmare to sort, especially as I've only a single garage at the moment! Guess I'll be putting my hand in my pocket!
