Just re wired faulty oil temp sensor wiring and found the coolant hose from the centre round alum tank to the o/s steel pipe that goes to radiator wearing through on the power steering hose connector. Checking further all the hoses seems to be interfering with each other around here, and the oil tank does not sit it its carrier and 20mm off the bottom. I wondered if the radiator steel pipe is routed wrong. Any of you guys help?

Graham

Got a picture? - doesn't sound right!

Give Ian at RVT a ring as he is the "re-route" king - stopped me having massive oil leak when he spotted one of the braided hoses sawing through the oil tank!

You have got to be ready for the Sunday run!!

Thanks Jez, YHM.
I dont know how to post a picture on here. also please update region club with my new mail address.
The rad pipe goes under the oil tank hose, i think it may work better over the oil tank hose.

Anyone help and check what there Sagaris coolant hose routing looks like.
My coolant hose goes under the oil tank hose and holds the tank from sitting down in its frame by about 20mm.
The coolant hose is then being pushed down on the power steering hose connection on the rack and will wear through one day
I think it would be better routed over the top rather than under
Any suggestions guys?

Mine is the same on the T350, not sure if there is room to move it under the coolant hose though.

I think mine is the same too. I experimented by putting some insulating tape around the bit that would wear and it still looks unworn. I will probably duct tape a short length of pipe lagging to the offending hoses to prevent damage.

Thanks for confirming;
Looks like I will make an extended new steel part for coolant pipe to go over the top and stop the chance of a hose burst.

Anyone fitted any better hose clips?.

I've got some proffesional stainless ones with a bolt to tighten, but not tried them yet.

I'm waiting for the Act Products hose kit for our engine (they do one for the Speed Six Cerbera). Some of those hoses look a bit delicate so i won't disturb until then. Actually, I'll get my dealer to do the swap for all the pain it will cause me! (the front of the T350 engine bay is not very accessible).

This is my Saggy view!
Thanks for the photo.
Thats confirmed my thoughts;
Also noticed my oil tank is wearing on its mounting bracket because it does not sit down correctly.

Thats it; I am now going to make a longer steel pipe so it goes over the top of the oil tank hose and stops the interference with the power steer/coolant hoses an lets the tank sit down properly.

Will post in when done including new stainless steel bolted hose clips
