I am taking the T350 on a track day at Llandow tomorrow (I Think there are spaces if anyone else fancies it [01446 796460])

This being my first track day in the TVR is there anything I should be wary of apart from the usual temps, tire pressures ect.

Any hints and tips regarding the track and driving a T350 on track would be welcome.

Yes, If it starts raining - just park up in the pits and watch everyone else go around!!

I went to Bedford Autodrome last year and it started rainiing, I span three times in one lap (no damage as i didn't leave the track) so decided to forget it - it was nightmare, I would have gone round quicker in my Peugeot 407 diesel!! My mate in a 911 turned on his traction control and he was fine!!!

The year before however was great cos it was dry. Whooped everyones a$s apart from a 911 Turbo, Merc Mclaren SLR and a 911 GT2.

Like you said, apart from keeping an eye on temperatures, nothing much else to look for. Just make sure you warm her up properly before going out on the track. You'll be amazed at how well the T350 turns into corners and holds its line and with that acceleration......

I've not done a lap on Llandow but I've heard the track is quite bumpy and (unlike Bedford) the run off areas are not so big - but I'm sure you are in for a lot of fun!!!

Enjoy!!

You'll have great fun. Took my T350 there last year as practice day for sprint season. You'd have to severely cock it up to have probs - not accounting for others getting it wrong of course.

The main 'slight off' risk is the tightest hairpin right, after the left at the end of the straight by the paddock. Easy to carry too much speed in and brake too late. The great turn-in of your car will avoid the understeer problem most cars have through the tight corners. thumbup

scratchchin If it didn't do it to begin with, may be the common track issue for all road cars of front tyres overheating esp. on outside edge. Going up to 2deg neg on front would help if you do many trackdays - earlier thread has a discussion...
