Hi all,
I've been in the market for a while now looking for a T350. I've looked at a couple and have narrowed it down to two potential cars. Both are similar mileage and price although one is from a non-TVR sports car dealer. The dealer's car is an ex-demo car though. It's only done just under 7000 miles but I was after some of your opinions whether to walk away or not.

The car will come with a non-TVR warranty for 12 months with a max claim limit of £4000 which worries me slightly. Do demo cars get ragged from cold. Obviously with the speed six engine, it's supposed to be warmed up a fair deal before pedal to the metal. The dealer claimed that all cars are left running to warm up before being test driven hard but this may have just been the hard sell. Am i looking at exessive wear for a low mileage car?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's dependent upon the dealer I guess.

When I bought from Peninsula every time I went down to see them, they would warm a car up.

My previous car(T350C) was a demo I had no problems with it at all in fact they seem to be well look after, mine was.

i know TMS's last T350 demo had to go for an engine rebuild after 1000 miles, if i remember correctly it was white with strips on the bonnet roof etc

Thanks guys, kind of mixed reactions then really. I might get in contact with the original dealer who used it was a demo car and ask how they normally warm up the car before tet drive etc.

Cheers.

My Tamora was an ex demo with the once TVR dealership in Bromsgrove. When the garage closed the MD kept it for himself.

Never had a moments problem with it. Think its whether lady luck is sitting by you when you sign on the dotted line!!

My T350C is also ex-demo (Peninsula I think too) plus one owner before me. No major problems so far, just a few niggles. I must admit I never gave it a second thought when the dealer (not Peninsula) told me it was ex-demo.

mine is ex-demo too (TVR Torque) and from what I understand Ian at Torque reckonded the car was one of the quietest he had heard in a while (which is apparently quite good!). Never bothered me when I knew the car was ex-demo, picked it up early Feb from Cheshire TVR.
