Help - Tamora just wont start.
Discussion
Very strange goings on. Got home from work which was a 10 minute drive. Turned engine off opened garage door after putting house alarm off. Went to re-start car and it just wont fire up. Its turning over but just isnt starting up. There is plenty of fuel in it.
Perhaps its trying to tell me something as it will be part exchanged shortly LOL

I had similar when I first bought my Tam, turned out to be a loose fuse for me. Could be the same for you, or replacement fuse [?]. It was simple to fix.
My advice: call your dealer, and they may be able to tell you which fuse to check. the fuse board can be accessed from one of the footwells. I called out the RAC and asked my dealer to, kindly, talk them through possible causes - worked well for me, back on the road in no time.

Or it could just be that the immobiliser has kicked in?
When I first picked up my Tamora (just over a month ago) I experienced exactly this "symptom" the first time I went to refuel it. A quick call back to the dealer sorted me out. Apparently you get less than 10 seconds to start the car after unlocking it. (Sure enough, that's what the manual says.... as I found out after I got the car home)
It seems some immobilisers, when armed, let the engine turn over. Others don't. If you are used to the "nothing happens" type then the Tamora's can seem strange in that it lets the engine turn over (albeit without starting). A mechanic friend was caught out by this on my car also. Having said that, given the usual TVR behavioural lottery, maybe its just mine (and yours???) that does this.....
